(Music) Porcelan – “The Real Thing Don’t Change”

Porcelan-The-Real-Thing-Dont-Change-Final (1)

Porcelan makes her debut with a beautiful piano ballad, “The Real Thing Don’t Change” co-written by producer and legendary Hall of Fame Songwriter, David Porter and multi-instrumentalist and producer, Hamilton Hardin.

“The Real Thing Don’t Change” is a romantic ballad that describes the emotional feeling of love and commitment. “It’s about the beauty of a total unified connection in a relationship,” says Porter. Cause the real thing/It’s always the real thing/And the real thing don’t change…” she belts over an amazing orchestra melody with much soul and conviction.

As the lead single for her forthcoming debut album release, Porcelan’s powerful and mesmerizing vocals captures the essence of what real love is, whether it’s newly found or one that endured the test of time.

During the writing of the project I wanted to musically describe a relationship cycle. At the time I was reflecting on all of my past relationships as well as close friends who have shared with me. The process of a man reconnecting with a girl he knew to slowly fall in love to the end and breaking up. Every song was intricately written to flow to one another, and hope listeners understand the journey. Love can both benefit you as well as crush you if you let it hence the name “Love = Rise + Fall”.
